2013-09-08 To and from F
Hi F.
I think I sent it in your period of not responding emails. Let me know what you think about it.
Salud,
Carlos
I’m late for my name
next to your name
and to the perfect silence of all gazes,
to the tireless night of adolescents.
I’m late for your dance
with bare legs,
to the fragile memory of small events,
to all the words you left in my belly.
I’m late for your face
so shy and perfect
and to the infinite beach with your body stretched out.
I’m late for the space
that was waiting in your bed,
to the kiss on the cheek
with sleeping eyes,
to my hand in your winter.
I’m late to write you
and love you slowly,
without doubts and without temples,
without counting the kisses.
Original:
Llego tarde a mi nombre
al lado de tu nombre
y al silencio perfecto de todas las miradas,
a la noche incansable de los adolescentes.
Llego tarde a tu baile
con las piernas desnudas,
a la memoria frágil de los hechos pequeños,
a todas las palabras que dejaste en mi vientre.
Llego tarde a tu rostro
tan tímido y perfecto
y a la playa infinita con tu cuerpo tendido.
Llego tarde al espacio
que esperaba en tu cama,
al beso en la mejilla
con los ojos dormidos,
a mi mano en tu invierno.
Llego tarde a escribirte
y a quererte despacio,
sin dudas y sin templos,
sin contarnos los besos.

Carlos,
Frankly good. It reminds me, based on my readings, aspects admired in Felix Grande and Caballero Bonald. Frankly good. Just the title -or first verse- is already worth the poem.
Hi F.
The poem chose me, it was the day, the place, and the moment … You know that I only detect and sense ;)
Enjoy the second prize.
Carlos
